I had a busy jam packed weekend filled with work, blog stuff, working out, eating chocolate cake, attending a bridal shower, feeling confused on whether it was fall or winter and stalking the Phillim Lim for Target collection. All in all a pretty successful weekend but like always, way too short.

I got my hands on a few cute items from Phillim Lim xTarget.... one of them being the black mini satchel!!! Not even a humble brag...just a brag.

Made in America: Day 2

Absolutely love these cat ears that I borrowed from my friend. Is there really anything greater than sporting headgear at a music festival? Sadly though, one of my ears fell off a few hours into the festival and I morphed from a cat into a unicorn. Not a bad transition by any means but I was definitely getting a few (weird) stares.

Also love this little frock from Brandy. So breezy and comfy for dancing and skipping through the park!

MADE IN AMERICA

 

   

My girlfriends and I had the BEST time over the long weekend at the Made in America Music Festival in Philadelphia. So much fun that I came home with a pulled foot muscle and many of us had unexplainable bruises (perhaps the airplane lift pictured above can explain a bit of it). Although it was no Coachella, it was definitely a weekend filled with a lot of memory making and soo many laughs. I am so thankful to have these weirdos in my life!

Besides the fun times, my favourite thing of the entire weekend was seeing BEYONCE perform in flesh. She made the entire thing worth it and made me pretty confident that she doesn't reside on planet earth. There is just no way somebody is that insanely talented. Her and Jay Z probably met on Mars and were like "Let's go cause a ruckus on Planet Earth". Mission Accomplished, freaks. 

I spent the entire night being like "BEY-SUS" "BOW DOWN TO B", "QUEEN B FOREVER"....and naturally had somebody rhinestone my arm with a "B".

Lady in Red

Bought this dress years ago in both black and red and it has come in handy so many times! I am absolutely in love with the pleats at the front and love the baby doll shape of it- so perfect for work with a blazer or with nylons in the winter or for when you want to eat a lot or...ALWAYS. 

Thank you Jacob for creating one of my favourite wardrobe pieces! I also love this necklace...I borrowed it from a friend of mine in LA and "accidentally" brought it back to Canada with me and....damn- the downside of having a blog. Sorry Sarah!

Boxer

Been pretty much  living in this black studded blouse over the last few weeks. It's such a great work piece but also doubles as a great top for a night out. 

I can't believe we have one more week of Summer left. A part of me is sad but another part of me is excited to get back into a routine. My work out and regular sleeping schedule has been a bit neglected for warm patio nights and late night laughs with friends.

I don't think there is a week that goes by that I don't wear this necklace. I bought it in San Francisco years ago and debated buying it because it was $70 dollars ( and I was broke and I'm also sometimes cheap). I remember walking out of the store without it and my first thought within second was "Wait...what am I doing? That necklace is everything" and back I went into the store to make the purchase. 

So glad I did!
