Skirt: Banana Republic, Top: Banana Republic (moms), Shoes: Zara, Sweater: Winner's, Belt: Danier Leather Sunglasses: Market in London

As hard as I try, I will never be one of those girls who doesn't spill her red wine, who walks gracefully at all times and whose hair is always in perfect place.

Whenever I want to feel this way though, I put on this skirt. I feel so elegant in it. Like I am supposed to be drinking tea at the The Peninsula in Hong Kong.

You would think that a skirt that makes me feel this way, would have been a pricey investment but it is actually the exact opposite. I got it a few years ago off the sale rack at Banana Republic. Dragged into the store by my mom (I like it more now though), I was aimlessly browsing through the racks and came across this little piece of heaven.

Stil years later, it makes me giddy.

Note: The picture without the sunnies is taken pre-work. Notice the lack of crinkles on the skirt. I am evidently also a girl who cannot go a few hours without my skirt needing to get dry-cleaned.

I love this look. I actually have a sweater like that and never thought to belt it. Great inspiration. I have the same problem with my white pleated skirt, I always get it wrinkled before I even get to work/class.

Great outfit! Gorgeous skirt and belting the cardigan like that is a great idea. Loved the reference to The Peninsula in HK by the way... I haven't had afternoon tea there in ages!
