i get by with a little help from my friends
Skirts: Forever 21, Blouse: Express Shoes: Aldo Scarf: Italy Rings: Kenneth Cole's and my moms
One of my best friends and I are prone to the giggles. In our highschool days we burst out into uncontrollable laughter during a final presentation ( over what? I could never tell you!)...other laugh attacks happened at work (yes we used to work coat check together) and there are many more in between. When she was over and I wanted to take pictures, it comes as no surprise that it was hard to keep a straight face during the shots. Picture number 4 to be exact.
In other news...going to get my hair done today and I decided that I am going to get full blown bangs. I have always been very vanilla with my hairstyles and hairchoices but I decided that I need to change it up a bit.
If you don't see a post in a few weeks......you may know why. Wish me luck

Fall TV has returned and the excitement I feel from it is most likely not normal. The past two weeks, from Sunday until Wednesday, I have cozied myself up in a blanket and been glued to Gossip Girl, 90210, Entourage, and The Beautiful Life..and tomorrow the Hills. Needless to say..I wish I had a life? ( I guess now is not a good time to confess that I watched all three Highschool Musicals.....and enjoyed them).
Although there are probably no benefits from watching drama filled shows (besides it being an excuse to get together with friends),there is something to be said about the wardrobes. There have been a lot of gorgeous outfits pulled together and styled on some of my favourite characters.
Obviously, S and B take the cake. Serena's vests, Blair's fancy dresses....Eric Daman-can i be your intern?. The hottest and latests are shown...and I feel like I sometimes need to rewind just to take a better look at the outfits.

I enjoy each and every bottle of nailpolish but there is no bottle that makes my heart flutter like OPI's Light my Sapphire.
It's the perfect mix of purple, blue and black and I find it perfect at any time of the year...for any occasion.
I even bought a pint sized travel bottle for when I hit the road. My all time favourite.
On another note, I'd like to thank Chicisimo for picking me as one of their looks
Cheeck it out. Their site is wicked.

When Alexander Wang's SS10 show was available on style.com...I cozied up with a latte, blanket and my laptop..and was ready to experience the Wang. As a regular Alexander Wang cheerleader, I was yearning for new looks and pieces that were sure to move me.
I was moved alright. The first few looks caused me to go 'wtf'.Then I was swooning over the next few looks. Two models later and my eyebrows were raised again. Basically, it was a rollarcoaster of emotions. Some good, some bad.
The only thing that was a constant was the braid. Ohh the braid.
My braid clearly does not measure up to say.. Lily Donaldson's but this was taken post work.
Braids are in my distant future..that's forsure. And I guess if I leave it all day and take it out...kinky/wavy hair from the 90's is also in my future.
What a night for a dance, you know I'm a dancing machine

This week has been a long week. One of those 'i need a coffee in my hand at all times'type of weeks. Thank you god for coffee.
Going to see Kings of Leon tomorrow!! Got tickets last minute and couldnt be more excited. I heard they are amazing live. Time will tell...
Hope everyone has an amazing weekend. TGIF!!!
gotta, gotta be down because i want it all
Skirt: H&m, Blouse: Erin Featherston for Target, Shoes: Steve Madden, Necklace: Vintage, Blazer: bebe
Since I have been working full time I have got some great wear out of some pieces I haven't worn in a while. Elegant skirts, blouses and some rad trousers. I think my day to day style is a little more casual so I have been having a little fun pretending I am fancy. I got this necklace as a birthday gift on my 22nd birthday and I hope to still have it on my 86th birthday. It's timeless.
Went and hit up TIFF (Toronto International Film Festival for anyone unfamiliar) on Saturday and Sunday with Stace. The TIFF vibe is everywhere in the city right now and I love it.
Corset: Vintage, Skirt: bebe
Spent Saturday shopping around, gawked in Holt's at these and had a cute dinner in yorkville. We then got dolled up and made our way to Entertainment Tonight's Party where we nestled ourselves into a tented area on a rooftop for the night.
Met up with (and officialy met) Ainsley, who sported a lovely black Nada dress that included a train (hells ya!) and my good friend Natalie (who also hooked us up with a sweet swag bag!). Woody Harrelson and Kat Dennings were there mingling with the crowd and we took full advantage of the open bar. Pretty much split my time between champagne and vodka/rockstars. Seemed like a good idea at the time.
I swore I would detoxt this week and do nothing but yoga but...one more party won't hurt, will it?
oh PS: I wanted to thank Befashionlike for picking me as their "Look of the Day" last week.

La Belle Et La Bete at the ball
Skirt: Banana Republic, Top: Banana Republic (moms), Shoes: Zara, Sweater: Winner's, Belt: Danier Leather Sunglasses: Market in London
As hard as I try, I will never be one of those girls who doesn't spill her red wine, who walks gracefully at all times and whose hair is always in perfect place.
Whenever I want to feel this way though, I put on this skirt. I feel so elegant in it. Like I am supposed to be drinking tea at the The Peninsula in Hong Kong.
You would think that a skirt that makes me feel this way, would have been a pricey investment but it is actually the exact opposite. I got it a few years ago off the sale rack at Banana Republic. Dragged into the store by my mom (I like it more now though), I was aimlessly browsing through the racks and came across this little piece of heaven.
Stil years later, it makes me giddy.
Note: The picture without the sunnies is taken pre-work. Notice the lack of crinkles on the skirt. I am evidently also a girl who cannot go a few hours without my skirt needing to get dry-cleaned.
Heads turning as the lights flashing out it's so bright
When I moved home from New York, I immediately missed it. I missed the coffee shop I went to every morning. I missed the people. I missed the Indian man at the grocery store I went to that always knew I got redbulls before going out. I missed the energy. And I still do.
As Fashion week makes its mark... I cant help but feel a little nostalgic for my former city. I am vigorously living through the cool kids' twitter updates that are in ny....as well as looking through older pictures of the amazing times I had there.
When I was there I did attend both fashion weeks so I thought I would share some of the highlights I experienced with you all.
the runway makes me get goosebumps...love

As exciting as this week is, 12 hour days do get tiring...My friend Kat can tell you this...especially if you get locked out of your appt. for 6 hours when you want nothing more than to get home.
But you know what they say...work hard, play hard.
Or go in a wig store and act like 5 year olds.
